State College Area Meals on Wheels delivers fresh, nutritious meals to homebound individuals Monday through Friday, with optional frozen meals for weekends. Our services help clients maintain their independence and health, right at home.
What We Offer
Hot and cold meals delivered Monday–Friday, with frozen meals for weekends. Meals are tailored to dietary needs and delivered by volunteers.

Eligibility
Homebound individuals who fall within the following categories may be eligible to receive Meals on Wheels:
- the frail and elderly
- those convalescing from surgery or illness
- those chronically and/or emotionally ill
- Eligibility is not restricted by age. Clients include, but are not limited to, those with Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, heart problems, schizophrenia, kidney dialysis, high blood pressure, and those recuperating from surgery.
Meal delivery may range from a few days to an ongoing basis.

Meals on Wheels delivers to the State College School District located within Centre County including:
College Township
Ferguson Township
Halfmoon Township
Harris Township
Patton Township
State College Borough

Available Diets
Meals can be tailored for specific dietary needs, such as low sodium, diabetic-friendly, and others.
Daily Meal Rates
State College Area Meals on Wheels asks that meal recipients contribute according to their income. The chart below is a guideline. Clients are billed monthly for meal delivery.
Holiday Closures
Meals are not delivered on:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Black Friday
- Christmas Day
- New Year’s Day
